Carpet Area
The actual usable floor area inside walls — what you walk on. Under RERA, builders must declare carpet area.
Built-up Area
Carpet area + thickness of walls + balcony. Typically 10-15% more than carpet area.
Super Built-up Area
Built-up area + a share of common amenities (lobby, lifts, staircases, clubhouse). Loading typically ranges from 25% to 40%.
Quick formula
Carpet ÷ 0.70 ≈ Super Built-up (assuming 30% loading).
